To always feel the presence of your loved ones close to you. We have created a Jizo for "on-hand memorial service" in which a portion of the deceased's bones are enshrined at home. On the back of the lotus stand on which the gentle smiling Jizo rides, you can place the bones or other mementos of the deceased.

A calm looking Jizo of a size that is easy to place in your home

.

The Jizo will always be by your side. We created this smaller Jizo with the idea of creating a full-fledged, yet easy-to-handle form of a handmade memorial service as our first priority. The size of the Jizo is compact at 17 cm in height and 1 kg in weight, but the carving is very detailed and authentic. Despite the heavy material of stone, we made it light enough to be held in one hand so that it can be easily moved for cleaning.
The Jizo is mounted on a lotus stand. A hole is carved on the back of the lotus stand. In this hole, the bones of the deceased and other small items that were treasured by the deceased can be stored. After placing the bones or other items, glue Japanese paper or other material to the stand and close the lid.

Kimachi stone, a warm sandstone from Shimane Prefecture

.

The stone is made of Kimachi stone from Shimane Prefecture. The stone is characterized by its gentle texture and stone skin, which is unique to sandstone. The history of Kimachi stone is long, and in the Kofun period, it was used as a material for stone chambers. Because of its ease of processing, it is often used to make stone lanterns and guardian dogs. When quarried, the stone has a bluish hue, but gradually loses its moisture content, and changes to an atmospheric brownish-brown color with a soft texture.

Each piece is hand-carved by a local craftsman

.

The Jizo carving is hand-carved by an artisan in the Kimachi Stone production area. Although the Jizo is small, the details are very finely processed. It is made by a stonemason who specializes in carving with a gentle texture. It features a warm and gentle expression as if it is watching over you. It is appreciated not only as a memorial offering on hand, but also as a gift or a present for people overseas.

We also make custom-made Jizo

.

We can also make custom-made Jizo.
We can make a custom-made Jizo according to your image, including size, figure, and facial expression. We can also engrave a name or other information on the back of the Jizo as an option. Please contact us for a free consultation and estimate of the cost of a memorial service.
