招き猫とは
招き猫は、江戸時代より日本で広がったとされる縁起物です。招き猫の置物は、通常片手でお金の袋を持ち、もう一方の手で手招くポーズをしています。挙げる手が右手と左手で違う意味を表現しています。一般的に、右手を挙げるとお金を招き、左手で挙げると人（お客様）を招くと呼ばれています。
ニャーニャンについて
ニャーニャンは、石茂オリジナルのキャラクターです。縁起の良い石のインテリアを弊社の石専門デザイナーが考案しました。ぽってりとした可愛らしい印象のニャーニャンは、弊社のシンボルとして、京都本店の正面にも飾られています。
伝統工芸士による手彫りの作品
ニャーニャンは、１つ１つハンドメイドです。細かい彫刻が得意な、石の伝統工芸士が手掛けています。固い石で出来ているとは思えないほど、柔らかで丸みの帯びたフォルムは、思わず触ってみたくなります。手作りなので、それぞれ若干表情が違うのも魅力です。
愛知県岡崎市の小呂石を使用
愛知県岡崎市小呂町で採掘される、小呂青石（おろあおいし）を使用。硬質で彫刻や灯篭など幅広く使用されてきた、上質な花崗岩です。岡崎を代表する石材で、「三州みかげ」とも呼ばれています。

Maneki-neko is considered an auspicious charm that has been popular in Japan since the Edo period. The figurine typically holds a money bag in one hand while making a beckoning gesture with the other. The meaning varies depending on whether the raised hand is the right or left. Generally, a raised right hand is believed to attract wealth, while a raised left hand is thought to invite people (customers).
About Nya-nyan
Nya-nyan is an original character created by Ishimo. Our stone specialist designer devised this character as an auspicious stone interior. Nya-nyan, with its plump and adorable impression, serves as a symbol for our company and is prominently displayed at the front of our Kyoto main store.
Hand-Carved Artistry by Traditional Craftsmen
Each Nyan-an is handmade by skilled artisans specializing in stone carving. Despite being crafted from hard stone, the form is soft and rounded, inviting a desire to touch. The handmade nature ensures that each piece has a slightly different expression, adding to its charm.
Using Okazaki Stone from Aichi Prefecture
We use Okazaki Stone (Oro-aoishi), sourced from Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. This high-quality granite, known as "Sanshu Mikage," is hard and has been widely used for sculptures and lanterns. It is a representative stone material of Okazaki.
Ideal for Homes and Shops as an Auspicious Ornament
Nya-yan, bringing good fortune and positive connections, can be displayed in various places such as homes and shops. Its gentle and cute design, coupled with its compact size of 16 cm, makes it easy to incorporate as an interior piece. Being made of stone, it can also be placed outdoors.
