吉祥石（きちじょういし）は愛知県岡崎市真伝町吉祥地区で江戸時代から採掘されている歴史ある花崗岩です。
硬質で水を吸いにくく、長い年月を経ても風化しづらい高級石材です。
滝山寺滝山東照宮の数十基の灯篭や、東本願寺の大手洗水鉢などに使用されています。

Kichijo stone is a historic granite that has been mined in the Kichijo area of Shindencho, Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture since the Edo period.
It is a high-quality stone that is hard, does not absorb water easily, and does not weather easily even over a long period of time.
It is used in the dozens of lanterns at Takiyama Toshogu Shrine in Takiyama-dera Temple, the large washing basin at Higashi Honganji Temple, and more.
