「石茂」は、創業以来約300年にわたり、寺社仏閣に納める狛犬や鳥居などの石造美術をを手がけてきました。

【A】灯篭（ピンク）
灯籠はもともと社寺での献灯を目的としたものでしたが、茶道の発展から庭園用の景物として使われるようになりました。
雪見灯篭は大きな笠が特徴の灯篭です。
「笠に積もった雪を楽しむため」「笠の形が雪が積もったように見えるため」など名前の由来は諸説あります。
池の水面を照らしたり、庭石の上に据えられます。

【B】狛犬（オレンジ）
狛犬は、邪気を払い神様と神社をお守りするために鎮座している霊獣です。
左右の獣は違う品種で、右は口を『阿（ア）』と開けた獅子、左は口を『吽（ウン）』と閉じ、頭に角をはやした狛犬です。
狛犬は魔除けだけでなく、その形から、人々の暮らしや幸せを守る象徴ともされています。

【C】地蔵（水色）
地蔵は深い慈悲の心で人々を守り、苦しみから導いてくれる仏様として親しまれてきました。
特に子どもや旅人、亡くなった人の霊を守る存在として日本で広く信仰されています。
頭を剃ったお坊さんの姿をしていることが特徴で、道端やお墓などに石像としてよく見られ、「お地蔵さん」と親しみを込めて呼ばれています。

招き猫は、江戸時代より日本で広がったとされる、人やお金を招く縁起物です。
片手でお金の袋を持ち、もう一方の手で手招くポーズをしています。

Komainu are sacred animals enshrined to ward off evil spirits and protect gods and shrines.
The animals on the left and right are different breeds. The one on the right is a lion with its mouth open in the "A" (A) position, while the one on the left is a komainu with its mouth closed in the "Un" (Un) position and horns on its head.
Komainu are not only used to ward off evil spirits, but due to their shape, they are also considered symbols of protecting people's lives and happiness.
