Zenki and Goki are a pair of oni (demons) said to have served En no Ozunu, the founder of Shugendo (Japanese mountain asceticism). Originally, they were fierce demons, but through En no Ozunu's power, they reformed and became his disciples. While sometimes depicted with terrifying, demonic appearances, they are not actually harmful to people.
