なめらかな丸い形が愛らしい、まん丸の目と太い眉が特徴のISHIMOオリジナルだるま。
だるまは、日本で古くから親しまれてきた縁起物で、「七転び八起き」の精神を象徴する存在として知られています。
そのルーツは、禅宗の開祖とされる「達磨大師」。長い修行の姿勢や不屈の精神が、だるまのイメージとして日本に広まり、現在のような縁起物へと発展しました。
商売繁盛、開運、学業成就、健康祈願など、だるまが担う願いごとはさまざま。

だるまは、細かい彫刻が得意な職人が１つ１つ手彫りで制作しています。固い石で出来ているとは思えないほど、柔らかで丸みの帯びたフォルムは、思わず触ってみたくなります。手作りなので、それぞれ若干表情が違うのも魅力です。
愛知県岡崎市小呂町で採掘される、小呂青石（おろあおいし）を使用。硬質で彫刻や灯篭など幅広く使用されてきた、上質な花崗岩です。岡崎を代表する石材で、「三州みかげ」とも呼ばれています。
約14cmとコンパクトで置きやすく、どっしりとした石の質感がインテリアにも溶け込みます。

Their roots lie in Bodhidharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. The image of daruma dolls, characterized by their long training and indomitable spirit, spread throughout Japan and evolved into the lucky charms they are today.
Daruma dolls fulfill a variety of wishes, including business prosperity, good fortune, academic success, and health.
They have long been cherished by many as a symbol of encouragement for efforts and wishes.

Each daruma is hand-carved by artisans skilled in detailed carving. Their soft, rounded shapes make them hard to believe they're made of solid stone, inviting you to touch them. Because they're handmade, each one has a slightly different look, adding to their charm.
We use Okazaki Stone (Oro-aoishi), sourced from Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. This high-quality granite, known as "Sanshu Mikage," is hard and has been widely used for sculptures and lanterns. It is a representative stone material of Okazaki.
At approximately 14cm, it's compact and easy to place, and its solid stone texture blends seamlessly into any interior.
