五輪塔は、インド発祥の石塔で、古くから日本のお墓でみられる伝統的なお墓の一種。５つのパーツにより構成された石は、インドの五大思想をもとに、地面に近い方から地・水・火・風・空と、宇宙を構成する要素を表しています。また人間の五体（足・胸・胸・顔・頭）を表しているとも言われています。宇宙の五大要素を表す五輪塔に納骨することで、故人が極楽浄土に往生するという意味が込められています。
実は、五輪塔は本来、一般的な和墓と違いがなく、個人のお墓にも好んで建てられます。一般的な和墓に比べて、加工技術が必要なため高価なものになります。ISHIMOでは、高い品質をそのままに、手に取りやすい価格で、五輪塔をつくりました。

御影石では珍しい、黄や赤みがかった錆色が特徴の蛭川石。岐阜県中津川市の蛭川のあたりでしか産出されない石です。その石肌が好まれ、建築材や鳥居、彫刻など幅広く使われています。
